Bless This Mess -- Pre-Trip

Here I am in Eugene, OR with my girlfriend, Katie, sitting in her messy apartment and constructing this blog. One would have to drive thousands upon thousands of miles just to escape the shadow of this clothing pile...

Next Saturday, Steven R. Wolf and I will be driving my '06 Subaru Outback, Black Sally, across this great nation of ours. We have a full week to pack the essentials and tune up Sally. Our goal is to experience the country through its backroads from town to town. Bar to bar. Ballpark to ballpark. Campsite to campsite. Coast to coast. You get it. We're doing the big shebang classic American road trip and we'll be gone for two months.

Wolf and I will be updating this blog a couple times a week with photos and updates from the road. I can't wait. This is a dream come true.

Couldn't help but throw in a relevant tune to our trip that is a personal favorite:
Magna Carta -- "Wayfaring"

  2. Great recommendations Uncle Ron! I've been compiling a massive "highway" mix for the road and had "America" and the Petty track. Wow, "King of the Road" is a must have. Black Sally only plays CD's so we hit up Everyday Music for a bundle of cheap Greatest Hits compilations. America's Greatest Hits is a fave so far...
