After our time in Bozeman with Ben, we headed down the road a couple hours south to Yellowstone National Park. So many things happened, so much was seen. We just decided to post some photos with captions.
Skipping rocks collected in Glacier National 20 miles outside of West Yellowstone.
We found this on the same riverbank and imagined it was fossilized teeth of a bison or Bighorn Sheep. Rangers gave us answers ranging from teeth, crustaceans, and acorns. One just called it a rock.
Raniers always taste refreshing after an intense skipping stone session.
Wolf taking the leap of faith to get back to the car.
I was a little more nervous and needed some liquid courage.
If Wolf can do it, anyone can.
Chinatown portion of West Yellowstone.
West entrance.
Three minutes into the trip we pulled over to see this elk. Voice from behind Peter yelled, "You're gonna scare it away!" We thought that was counter productive...
Resident Bison at the Norris campsite and inspired the lyrics to our new hit song, "Don't approach the wildlife nooooo, we didn't know the rules."
Pondering the scenery and hoping to see a tree fall down the mountainside.
Pulled over to a huge pileup and waited fifteen minutes and saw a grizzly.
Little hotter than your average hot tub.
Geothermal something or other.
I'd rather approach a grizzly bear.
Tailgating Old Faithful
There she blows.
Tossing around the pigskin in a field of bison pies.
Wolf's photo comfortably from the car.
Sunset in Yellowstone.
Getting cozy on our gravel mattress. Documenting the day's events.
Norris campsite in the early morning.
Peter's head collected morning frost off the tent.
Best cup of coffee we've ever had.
Skipping more rocks from Glacier on a tepid lake.
Thought about throwing in some ramen noodles.
Elk Village
Petrified tree. Worth a trip to Yellowsone in itself.
Hey Pete, I'll catch up to you in a bit.
Rock and Roll Hootchie Cool
After a vertical hike, we found the prize. A 6-pack of bighorn sheep IPA.
Found better walking sticks in Yellowstone. Wolf with "The Staff."
A little better than the Petrified Tree.
I can see for miles and miles...
Apparently Bison have the right of way.
Pronghorns doing their best impression of our hike.
Look closely and you'll find a beav.
Meese
Had a hankering for bison.
Unfortunately, the only animal we couldn't capture was a Gray Wolf and its pup. Yellowstone was an amazing experience and we both agreed we would be back in our lifetimes.

Nothing like a low bar in Wyoming to get you in the mood for drinking in the wilderness.
