____________
The drive from the Rock and Roll Hall Fame in Cleveland to Canton was the worst storm either of us have driven in. Torrential rain with lightning and tree-snapping winds. Cars were pulling over underneath overpasses and seeking any type of shelter. The two of us and Black Sally hung in there for the hour drive. By the time we arrived at the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the rain had subsided for the most part but the winds had picked up.
The clouds were pitch black and blowing in circles.
When we walked into the the hall of fame, an employee pulled us aside and told us to go downstairs away from the windows. Everyone in the building was put into the basement as a safe room because a tornado warning had been issued in the area.
Many people were praying, which intensified our nervousness. We had never experienced a tornado warning.
Peter hanging out underneath a Charlie Joiner and Steve Largent jersey. There could be worse places to be stuck in.
One hour in. Wolf wondering what's going on outside.
Loe and behold, they let us go. The warning had subsided and most people left. We eagerly went into the hall and found a statue of Jim Thorpe.
A cluster of modern legends. John Elway, Barry Sanders, Steve Young, and Troy Aikman.
The turducken himself. John Madden.
Continuing a proud tradition of stupid poses.
